Top 5 reasons your boiler might need replacing:

-   1. Age of the boiler

The average boiler lasts eight to twelve years. It might be time for a            replacement if your unit is getting close to or has reached this age. Older boilers lose efficiency and are more likely to break down, which can result in more frequent repairs and greater energy costs.

- 2. Frequent repairs

It can be more economical to replace your boiler if you frequently need a plumber to fix it. Regular maintenance may be a sign that the unit is deteriorating and approaching the end of its usable life.

- 3. Rusty Water

If you see rust-coloured water pouring from you taps, then this is probably an indication of internal boiler corrosion, particularly when using hot water. This is an obvious sign that the boiler has to be changed before its starts to leak, as the unit is starting to deteriorate.

- 4. Insufficient hot water

A failing heating element or sediment accumulation in the tank may be the cause of your boiler's insufficient hot water supply. Even these problems can occasionally be fixed, if the issue continues or the unit is old, it may be required to replace it in order to get your hot water supply back.

- 5. Leaks around the unit

Water collecting around the boiler's base is an indication of a leak, which may be a sign of a more serious internal issue. When a tank begins to leak, it usually needs to be replaced because repairs are frequently not possible for this kind of problem.
